Move Forward When Life Changes Everything
Creating change in your life can be a difficult endeavour.
Changing a lifestyle, routine or pattern has an element of personal growth and discomfort inherently built into it. Sometimes change looks like a small tweak, other times like a tornado ripping through your life. Sometimes it’s wonderful, sometimes it’s terrible, or it lands somewhere in between. Either way, it pushes you to adapt and reinvent.
The question isn’t whether change will happen. It’s whether you will meet it with resistance — or use it to build your power.
No matter what, your perspective determines what you get out of it, and whether you move forward or stay stuck in what’s already happened.
One thing is certain… there is no sense in looking backward and giving your power to an unchangeable past. Keep that power instead and use it to move yourself forward to a place that is more aligned with who you want to become.
Forward is the only direction that creates change. Think like a shark. Swim ahead. Ask yourself what your ideal outcome is, then your next action step.
How can you reframe where you’re at to make it the best thing that ever happened to you?
This question is meant to be one that challenges you emotionally. It may make you feel angry or defensive. Keep asking it until you get a genuine answer from yourself.
Holding your power when all else has fallen apart is difficult but never impossible. The world is always quick to say you’ve failed, yet failure loses its weight when that situation is used for growth of your personal power. You can always leverage your pain and challenge.
Emotions unfelt will hold you in the past, forever linked to what happened. Emotions processed and released, having done the job they were meant to do, will free up your energy to point powerfully at a future you want to build.
Change is inevitable, but so is your growth. I challenge you to do the hard thing and own it all, even the least comfortable parts and whatever that invokes in you to grow from.
